As a general rule, if your last few years are not bad, a State's Attorney will likely agree with defense counsel to reduce the speed by negotiation below the threshold where you have a suspension or stipulate to court supervision (no conviction) provided it's not obscene. As to anyone's curiosity, yes I am an attorney.
