The OP tried to save money buying used MPE and got burned. If he would have bought from BMW it would have cost more money but he would be covered by warranty. |
IMO any OEM part that is covered under warranty for the original owner should continue to be covered for future owners for the life of the warranty no matter how many hands it changes. I don't see why that should be an issue for BMW. If the exhaust is warrantied for 2 years then cover the damn thing for 2 years. Why should it matter if it's the second owner or the third. Just my opinion.
