BM3 flash and all plug-in E% sensors work on the CANBUS. If there's a problem with your ethanol percentage readings it's more likely that your E% Sensor is on the fritz. If it's not the sensor then something is messing with (overwriting) the E% value on the bus network.

However, Andream has to read CAN data as well otherwise you wouldn't be able to control it with the the joystick or steering wheel controls and it wouldn't be able to detect reverse.

I was surprised that it didn't have a CANBUS connection. It seems to trigger R View when the backup camera activates (separate plug), and the other controls are in the control panel intercepts (to the "console" component I think). Take a look at the install manual where the plugs get configured and let me know what you think.
