We need to get the full specs of the tires first to assess what are the benefits of one size vs another and the particular application (front/rear specific wheel width).
The 295/30R20 PSS of the M5 was a perfect fit and provided a decent improvement because it was designed specifically for a 10" wide wheel and has a significantly wider contact than the CP 285/30R20 PSS.
