If you are looking for comfort and status, there are many other choices out there. Once I decided to get a new M3, I certainly looked at what else I could get for the same amount of money (including a wide range of low-milage used vehicles). I test drove a lot of them.
My choice was the M3. Yours may not be. You need to decide what is important to you and compare.
