Some comments ITT are amusing.

Four doors certainly has that practicality upside for family and even the small door advantage for those tight places. The sedan may even look better to some eyes where the M4 and M3 are judged. To each his own.

For me, it's a straight forward question "Is the vehicle going to be used as workhorse, DD, or rugrats hauler or will it be a weekender, toy vehicle?" Four doors would be desirable for workhorse duty. For a weekender, a two door model is the ticket. The oft noted impracticality of merely two doors is well taken and a criticism that the two door model could and should use as a counterpoint toward sedans as coupés can point out to sedans, especially sport sedans, that nothing screams "COMPROMISE" quite as loudly as their four doors.
