Just bought my car. Has to be done through the dealer but not every dealer will charge you the same price. Many will charge a lot more than BMWFS. But you can get it from any BMW dealership. I got it from one that advertises here on the site about it. Super easy.
The extended WARRANTY can be bought even after you buy the car. It can be bought anytime before the cars 4 year / 50K miles warranty expires.
