I changed a couple of the ALP's control unit settings (indicator lights and start-up sounds) and the false signals at start-up stopped. I suppose it may have been some sort of user error, but I don't know what.
I'll try to get to an electrical tape experiment over the next couple of days to see whether that helps with the Max 360. But at this point, I've just disabled the Escort's laser band.
