Sorry to side jack the thread. I've had inconsistent funky noises from the rear as well although I've been unable to reproduce it consistently. It does seem to happen more often when I have passengers in the car. I'm on stock bushings. I had written it off as "normal M noises" but it still bugs me every time it happens. And my warranty runs out in 700 miles!
