I'm not sure what the drivers in this thread are using as a comparison benchmark to determine "butter smooth". I have a C3 Corvette 4 speed 350 and I can tell you this transmission is like liquid lightning compared to that. It's probably the best MT I have ever owned and that's covering a 30+ year span of nothing but MTs
