1. The M5 is underrated by 20 hp. Such a figure gives simulation result that match actual tests very well.
2. Although the actual number is probably going to be more like 15-20 hp, this particular simulation for the M4 (giving the 21.9 second figure) assumed a 30 hp underrating by BMW.
3. Both of these include M-DCT.


Yea, the 455hp figure sounds about right. Assuming the M5 has 580hp, and the M4 has 455hp thats ~7.4 lbs/hp, and ~7.6lbs/hp respectively. That would most likely make them very close with a 21.9sec to 1000m time. The M4 has a slight headstart due to better traction in the first two gears, the M5 starts pulling just a slightly bit harder once in 3rd onward. Sounds like we're going to see an 8.2-8.4 sec 0-100mph time. Amazing for a car that has "425hp".
