Most supercars still do it with rwd and most of the time intentionally; so why not BMWs and likes?

The "new" Ferrari F12 Berlinetta with 740hp and 700 nm of torque is a rwd car that still does 0-62 in 3,1 sec.
Awd is not needed, once the car is moving it adds weight with no other improvments in performance or handling.
