Had mine installed by Piper Motorsports in Virginia and the welders mentioned that the weld locations were reinforced. They monitored underneath to ensure nothing caught on fire.
I think only until GTS has reinforcements as the brackets and harnesses were standard for the European GTS models |
That is very interesting. In the link shared above the guy installed them in an non-GTS so he wouldn't have noticed any reinforcements in that car. I also didn't realize BMW is selling the brackets now? I had only seen RKP's before
