What BMW won't tell you is they just choose a crappy combo material. The rotor material and pad material do not play nice together.
I went thru 4 complete sets of pads and rotors in my 3 year lease , all under warranty and every time it would go away when new and come back after about 1K miles.
I tried the lemon law route, but BMW decided they would fight it and the attorney didn't have the balls to take them in, so I ended up living with it until the lease was up.
I'm 2000% happier with my 2SS 1LE
BTW, others are correct, the rotors are stout, it's not them warping. It's just a bad marriage of materials.

Interesting thank you. But I also warped a set of OEM pads with a set of Ferado DS2500 pads.
