Yeah, this has been mentioned in the few reviews I've read that included a test drive with the black M4 with the manual box (seemingly 1 or 2 were available during the initial test drives; most journalists did not get to drive one). Not too surprising, as the F8x manual box is a beefed up version of that found in the 1 M. And THAT is the best manual transmission I've ever used in a BMW. Not QUITE 997 Porsche smoothness, but damn close!
