I have the X-ice. Have had them on for one week. They drive great in the dry too.
My thought was, i'm getting the winter tires for the wet and snow, not for the dry. Just for the dry i could have used the summer contis, they were manageable in 20-30 deg whether just fine, that's why i went with the X-ice over a winter performance.
