To the OP there is obviously limits how many times a chip can sustain being flashed however lateral thinking indicates the tuners are flashing their cars 100's of times to sort out the tunes. Us mere mortals will never hit these counts.
There may be limits imposed by bmw to stop dealers flashing many times however if this is true the tunes of today by pass this with flash counter freeze.
U are golden just buy a tune from the main players in this space.
