Admittedly, been quite a while since I've had a run in a base F82.
I think even in a straight line the M4 is probably the more visceral experience. The engine is more high strung.
Again I'd emphasize AMG M177 is more S62 (E39 M5) than S65 or S55.
As for which is actually faster 40-100, I'd guess the Merc, but probably just comes down to which hooks up better in 2nd.
On that point, Merc's 9 stage traction control could be an advantage.
Think my Solo2 (lap timer) might have some acceleration settings. Could grab some real world #'s if we have base or comp M4 data to compare.
