My Immediate Impressions:

- I’ve only put 60 miles on the car, picked her up with 11 on the clock and I haven’t gone WOT yet nor revved it past 5500k (prob 5k max) I will take my time breaking her in nicely. I can’t stand seeing people that don’t respect these cars, mashing on them the day they pick them up.

- Welcome to the world of torque. My GOD this thing picks up speed FAST

-I LOVE MINERAL WHITE. I went back and forth with colors, originally ordered MG/SO but pulled the trigger on MW/SO shortly after. NO REGRETS!

- The brakes are AMAZING and not even broken in yet. A HUGE upgrade over my E90 brakes. Yes there is brake dust and plenty of it.

- The rear of these cars is going to be a PITA to keep clean, seems like all the dust accumulates on the rear bumper. Going to put some Menzerna sealer on when I wash her for the first time.

- This is not a V8. My brothers 6mt VT-550 E92 w/ an ESS X-pipe w/ HFC and Eisenmann Race exhaust is the most amazing sounding car I’ve been around. Truly a blast and joy to drive. Sound is HUGE to me. HOWEVER, this thing in SPORT PLUS sounds INSANE for a 3.0 I-6 TT. The backfire and the rumble is SWEET. I can only imagine how good this thing will sound with a properly fitted exhaust setup. YES it’s fun to drive, and the noise is not a problem at all.

- I do not miss my S65 at all. The noise and pure muscle noise is cool, but my E90 felt sluggish. Like many have said, this thing definitely feels lighter on its toes. Did I mention this thing picks up speed fast?

- 7th gear is completely useless

- The DCT on my E90 felt smoother at low speeds. I think I need to adjust myself to this unit paired with this motor. Either the car is adapting to my driving style, still breaking in, or the torque might be throwing me off a little. I can see what Clarkson meant by his comments on the gearbox, but its not a big deal.

- Yes there is turbo lag. But the torque instantly makes up for it. Did I mention how good the motor sounds? Videos don’t do justice WHAT SO EVER.

- SO interior is beautiful. However, I was originally against extended leather, however I would get it next time around. Makes the interior look that much better. I kind of don’t like the plastic/rubber tid bits on this generation compared to my E90. Kind of looks cheap if you ask me. I love the contrast in with the black.

- The seats are amazing and I love the illuminated M logo. I wish these seats had bolsters like the E90 where I can adjust how tightly the seat hugs me. But hey, the interior is a HUGE improvement overall compared to the E90 in terms of functionality. WE HAVE REAL CUP HOLDERS NOW! WOOT. I liked the steering wheel more on my E90, which felt slightly smaller but just as beefy. I don’t like how many buttons are on the steering wheel. We only need one M1 button not two, and I don’t like the fact that you can’t change tracks without using the joy stick and click on the steering wheel. Whatever, 1st world problems right.

- The LED lights are epic. LOVE THEM. However I don’t think they are worth 1900. Maybe 800-1000 MAX over the standard Xenons.

- IMO the Harman Kardon sound system sounds great. Great bass, clean sound. IMO! Than again, coming from an E90 w/ standard radio that I felt was defective but dealer never changed for me. I could literally have a full conversation with passengers at max volume. Felt like it was missing a testicle or something.

- I liked the center area more on my E90, for the simply fact that it was really easy to clean, with little areas for dust and other nuisances to get stuck in.

- The active sound or amplified sound.. get over it already. It’s not a big deal, I actually like it. Its not like its an artificial noise. Roll down the window if you want to hear the engine/exhaust noise, you won’t be disappointed. BAPP BAPP BAPP DEERR DEERR BAPPP BAPPP and I haven’t even opened it up yet!

- Pictures don’t do this car justice. The wheel gap is not THAT bad in person. Also I thought the front end of these F82’s was more aggressive than the rear. I still feel the same, BUT, the ass on these is sooo wide and aggressive.. In pictures the F80 looks like a beast in the rear w/ the flares, but w/ the shape of this car the rear flares don’t stand out as much. BUT the rear is really aggressive.

-I hate the fact that comfort access isn’t a standalone option. Biggest complaint I have.

- Prepare yourselves for a Mineral White F82 Pic overload.
