You are right, the bimmertech amp and speaker would cost less than 3k, but I think people that are asking are looking to keep the entire soundstage (including the 7.2) and that will cost significantly more than 3k. That's looking at the moBridge DSP to get the signals, two amps to power the speakers and new speakers (even just the BavSound speaker option), and that doesn't even count the cost of anything to improve the bass. You won't be able to keep logic7 if you do the mobridge preamp. You will need to add a DSP( Helix, DSP). That's the heart of a GREAT sounding system.
