7800 rpms is a wonderful redline/fuel cutoff; I believe that's about what the reprogrammed s54 hit after the initial 8000rpm redline kerfuffle.

What really stuck out to me is that the s55 has 70% more torque at 2000 rpms and 40% more torque at 7500 rpms than the s65. That is:

1. A boatload more torque in daily driving. Combined with a lighter weight this thing should SCOOT at 2000rpms when you wood it.

2. Indicates a really nice kick in the pants when shifting up to the next gear, if you are getting that much additional torque between 5000-6000 rpms compared to where the s65 would be.

As many others have said, it's all about area under the curve. And what I'm reading is that there is ALOT more power throughout + several hundred pounds less to power around.
