These should work with your HIFI sound system and will definitely sound better than HIFI subwoofers. Reason I am so confident is because my friend just got a 428i gran coupe with HIFI system. The bass was a lot worse than my M4. We both upgraded to the bavsound Underseat subwoofers, and installed same time. The speakers were identical and both were plug and play. So i do not see a reason why the Harmon Kardon subwoofers would not plug and play in to the HIFI sound system.
I actually figured that the people that would be most interested in these subwoofers, would be the ones with a HIFI sound system.
