I am not sure how your reply applies to my post... But anyhow:

I seriously doubt we will see a totally new engine architecture based on the N58 in the F8X, it would just be too costly. Further, if you believe that the competition pack will be offered with a diferrent engine (based on the N58) than the S55 in the base M3/4, you are dreaming in technicolour; two engine architectures concurently offered in the F8X does not really make sense.

It is possible that the comp pack will come with a power boost, but more likely from a software tune on the S55. I also believe all new F8X (not only the comp pack) will get a power boost when the M2 gets released.

Regarding 0-60mph of the 340, the M3/4 are still significantly quicker. The gap widens even more at higher speeds.
