The standard E9x M3 style 220M 19s as well as the style 219M 18s, on the other hand, are 8.5"/9.5" width F/R.

Of course you can easily put a 255 tire on an 8.5" wide wheel, and similarly a 275mm tire will fit a 9.5" wheel. So you can run F8x OEM width tires on any of the older M3 wheels. But, given that the 359M have an additional 12.7mm of width compared to the 220M which yields 6.35mm of additional width each side of center, and the fact that they are only offset 2mm more than the 220M, its almost like running a 5mm spacer compared to the 220M as far as where the outside edge of the wheel will sit. That's likely to be a win as far as coming in close to look of the 437M OEM wheel. In other words, whatever the offset of the new wheels is, the old ZCP wheel is likely going to come the closest to it.
agree

many people run spacers on the 220m wheels, so that may also be the case on the 359m should you want a less sunk-in look.

personally, the fitment on the 359m on the m3 is even a little sunk in for my taste, and the 220m definitely is. so I was just saying that to get a good fitment, a spacer may be required where arguably it isn't on the e9x

good post though. I am very glad about the extra half inch on the wheels, I greatly prefer a firmer sidewall from a wider wheel
