yes, there is no way around this. if these feel "good", imo its placebo and partially due to the stiffer tire in the ad08r. but the ad08r in stock sizes would perform much much better

plus the wider tire doesn't do much for grip if the contact patch is mostly determined by the wheel width, which it is.
