I believe the question was asked in the context of how even the stock tune has traction issues. Given the significant increase in torque from a stage tune, OP was asking if it's worth it. I can relate because I've asked myself this question many times, and decided it wasn't for me. I'm constantly fighting the TC on upgraded tires on stock tune.

Ideally I would keep the midrange the same and get a little more pull after 5500 RPM, but the amount I drive my car combined with how much I'm fighting TC as-is made me decide against it. I prefer as balanced a car as possible, where I can always hammer on it and hook, rather than an overpowered mess that is only good for highway pulls but is slower than stock at street legal speeds since TC is always cutting power.
