Took delivery of my e93 at motorwerks too - no front plate, they were super cool.
To your point, though, that's why I do the magnet mod - if you do a HH or something you can just slap 'er on. I usually do that before I even go in.
The remote control thing ... I considered that but it seems a little ... feminine.
