New models rarely cause the old model to plummet in value - and the production of the F80 has been pretty consistent, so in theory the 2017s are "flooding" the market as we speak.
Everyone thinks the previous gen car falls off a cliff - it just doesn't happen. What does happen is the cars depreciate and they depreciate even faster when outside their 4 year warranty.
