Thank you & there is much truth to your statement.
The E46 (and the E39) will always represent the period when design perfectly balanced tradition with modernity, form with function. They are neither too boxy, nor too round; neither too sharp-edged, nor too curvy. Understated yet aggressive. Simple yet sophisticated. Just right.
We will always see the same pattern whenever a newer version of whatever we have is released. The old ones will still be special, but the new ones will almost always be better. Whether or not emotionally they are winners is a different story.
Unfortunate that I sold the E46 almost 2 months ago.
Wanted to keep it for track duty while I would DD with the E90. But my post-college priorities has got me to focus on better financial decisions.
The E46 M3 will always have a special place in my heart & memory and I do plan on picking up another pristine one in the future, although i do love the E90 as well!
