"Yes, your charger can get quite warm during Stage 2 bulk charging. It has a safety thermal cutout switch set at 140°F. You should see it cool down after it reaches Stage 3, and be nearly cold by Stage 7. If you see that it is staying in Stage 2 (after moving from Stage 1) for much longer than 10 hours, there may be an issue with the charger or battery."
