Emissions isn't the problem BUT the buckets seats definitely will not pass regulation (Porsche had problems with their 918 buckets, something to do with mandatory height adjustments..) and the cage would never pass. There must be obstacles that we don't fully understand that's keeping these special editions out of the U.S.

You're right, we know the CSL seats would never pass in the US
However, the GT3RS is sold over here. The cool euro seats are optional and not road legal, but they still manage to sell the car here!
