As stated above comp pack vs non comp vastly depends on what you value or what you plan to do to the car. The comp wheels alone if you like them are over $4k so for a 5k package that includes the wheels plus all the extras it is a good value.

It's not so much the minimal power difference IMHO as it is the increased traction and better handling. Simply adding a tune adjusts your power but does nothing for suspension/traction and handling. The exhaust is also much more refined and is a large improvement over stock non comp cars.

Basically the comp packaged car is how the car should have been from the factory at launch and is the more refined version. That said, an //M is an //M and even a non comp pack car is a great vehicle. If you see yourself modding heavily and you don't care for the wheels, it may be best to pocket the difference.

But as far as resale and future value, a comp packaged car will usually be the more preferred option on these vehicles.
