All runs were done in Engine on sport plus, Manual mode 5th gear and on Shell V-Power 100RON(93-94OCT)
The boost by
gear / torque limitation by
gear feature has been on the bootmod3 config for a very long time, so we decided to dyno it.
The (non ZCP and ZCP) torque is set to 550NM (405lbft) in the stock tune, the CS/GTS OEM maps have a torque limitation set to 650NM (480lbft). The OTS maps have a torque limitation of 750NM (553lbft).
What does all this mean for the daily user or even those who track their cars?
Well, putting down the massive torque the bootmod3 OTS maps bring is not always easy, especially in the first 3 gears. Here you can simply lower the torque output throughout the RPM range by a given percentage that suits you and your car best.
Trackday! Having linear torque in curves is always a great thing (N/A like), good thing here is that you do not have to lower your power output when you get on the straight stretches e.g. 4th even 5th gear! Here you want to be as fast as possible, no need to limit power

- Bootmod3 Stage 2 93OCT with 550NM torque limitation as stock to show that this limits torque to a stock torque limit, even on upgrade turbos!

Just for comparison sake, last post I made for all the OTS maps including the free ones, such as the CS map. The CS map has a torque limit of 600NM, which should equal the 20% limitation done on the Bootmod3 Stage 2 93OCT OTS. Results are very clear! Torque is the same between the CS and the 20% limited stage 2 93OCT OTS map until a certain RPM
