On the F80 M3, 275/30 has a tendency to rub the liner at steering lock, such that 265/30 may be preferred. The F82 M4 has a bit more accommodating clearances such that 275/30 is more viable. 265 has additional characteristics of keeping steering live/nimble. 275 of course provides a bit more street grip, but makes steering just a tad more numb (almost negligible).
