Bringing some new information on that thread ! Been playing around with exhausts and seats lately so I thought I would take the opportunity to weight everything out and report on this thread !
Also, the MPE and Akrapovic weight are not currently comparable on this thread as no one weighted the first part of the exhaust which include the OEM secondary cats.
Exhausts
OEM Exhaust (including all its hardware) : 36.8kg / 81.13lbs
MPE Exhaust (without secondary cats pipe) : 19kg / 42lbs
Secondary cats pipe : 8.15kg / 18lbs
MPE FULL Exhaust (including OEM secondary cats) : 27.15kg / 60lbs
Full Akrapovic Evo Exhaust (including all its hardware) : 24.15kg / 53.24lbs
So in the end, MPE saves 9.65kg/21.3lbs over the OEM exhaust. Akrapovic saves 12.65kg/27.9lbs
The MPE muffler is a lot simpler and lighter than the Akrapovic one which is why there is only 3kg/6.6lbs difference between the 2 exhausts despite the MPE having only the muffler in Titanium.
Seats
I have replaced my oem CS/Competition seats by the Euro Spec M4 GTS seats (Carbon Pole position) and weighted everything again :
Full OEM CS/Comp seat (inc rails, seatbelt pretensioner...etc) : 26.2kg / 57.8lbs
Full OEM M4 GTS Carbon Pole Position seat (inc rails, seatbelt pretensioner...etc) : 12.2kg / 26.9lbs
So the total weight saving for swapping the 2 seats out is 28kg / 61.7lbs
