Now, there are some good news!
I got about 20 meters to go, and then I can go and order a digger thingy and claim I was doing the historic side by hand just to - and this is important- preserve the original foundation which would not have endured well with a machine. There are some issues with that claim but the new wing is 16 meters long, and 15 meters wide, with big tree stomps and if I'm bitching now, imagine what that would do to me!
So we are going to call this preserving historic methods and if shit hits the fan, we can always use words like "100 year old concrete foundation and vibrations could do damage."
I'm working on the excuses. This has been beyond idiotic but my shoulder muscles seem to like the work. I also bought myself steel cap landing boots for this so at least I'm getting some girly points for this. |
