I think both the E63 and M5 look substantially different than their standard counterparts. This is especially the case when you see both cars side by side in person. There obviously are some similarities as the M and AMG variants are based off of the standard cars.
It's a moot point anyway because true enthusiasts know the difference between an E63 and an E550 or the difference between an M5 and a 550i with the M Sport package.
To the rest of the world, a BMW is a BMW. Hell, most people can't tell the difference between a 3er and 5er or a 7er and 5er, let alone the F80 M3 from the F30 M Sport.
I prefer the muscular and aggressive lines (including the twin power domes on the hood) of the W204 C63 to the softer, rounder lines that will be utilized on the standard W205 C-Class (no AMG variant has been officially revealed yet). The only thing the W204 C63 is lacking is more pronounced rear fender flares.
Chris Harris is a big fan of the bodywork on the W204 C63 and the LCI W212 E63. So am I. Taste in exterior styling is highly subjective and varies from person to person.
