Dealer vs. Vroom
Thanks for the information in this thread.
My lease is coming to an end around Christmas. Just for fun, I checked with Vroom and they are offering me ~10% more than the total payoff from BMWFS.
I can buy the car outright via BMWFS, change the title after the lease buyout, and then sell the car to Vroom. However, I will have to pay NY sales tax for the buyout.
Is it even worth checking with our local BMW dealer to see if they would instead buyout the lease (and potentially avoid paying sales tax)?
