I was skeptical on these since I’m pretty picky with brake feel but hated the dust so I thought I’d try the Akebenos.
Out of the box they are a nice pad with quality shims already setup and ready to go.
The pads do not bite as hard on the initial touch of the pedal/when covering the pedal, but the stopping power is still there when you need it and overall they feel good.
I have not heard a single noise from them either.
If the car came with these I probably would have been happy with the braking power even then. Overall for a daily driver or cruiser I think they are a great choice. I am very happy - hardly any dust after a lot of cruising and spirited driving.
