Best model ever made was 2017-early2018 comp as it came fully spec’d before BMW had to put in OPF and change the driveshaft from carbon to steel making it more heavy. Also they removed some other items that no one would notice (dimming passenger mirror, headlight wash, carbon drive shaft, and m performance retrofit exhaust option)
Hence if in the market 2017 LCI model was the best optioned car they made for 10 months before the switch if people want the best setup they had on offer with LCI.
They also brought in the comp pack just before the LCI refresh in late 17 and again these cars had all the options bar the new headlights and taillights both which can be retrofitted as well as sliver interior trim accents and seat badges. (This came with the led headlight wash)
