glad to hear yours was just bruising.
I feel like I should move my law practice to be an 'arena lawyer' for the winter with the amount of time I am spending in rinks these days....

How's ruby?
I've never fucked up around my kids, or their friends or team mates. I'll stand by that statement, I will!!! I will not be skating around this, not after my friends and I volunteered to take about a million kids (or fifty) to a skate park last spring.
"Anna, I'm a geek approaching my 40's. I can advise but fuck no, I can't go back there. The last time I hit the ramps was 5 years ago, it took two surgeries to set me up right".
"I too am revising my relationship with my bones. Let's hang out here and look cool and dial 112 (our 911) if needed".
I did teach them some jumps and sliding techniques and then I send them off to meet the concrete or asphalt on their own. I'm alive at this age, it shows I'm smart. My friends are alive too because they're smart.
How could we take away this feeling from those kids? I mean, we were next to a hospital, and if they're smart maybe they too will be the ambulance calling crew standing by one day.
