I do think a 991.2 might end up being 10-15k over two years though given the 992 is coming, albeit with an 8k increase in price and increase in options. A nicely equipped 992S is going to be 140-150k out the door assuming the average amount of options. My 991.2S has a sticker of 121k (2017 model year).

I think the 991.1 NA engine cars will be valuable over the long term, but to manual (vs pdk) cars, especially lower mileage ones. In the short term these cars are depreciating as is typical for a late model 911, it will take a few more years for the cars to bottom out in depreciation before they will start to appreciate, imo.
