Berlin and the Wall
October 26
Drove from Ruegen to Berlin. Again, we took A20 part of the way on our journey to Berlin which afforded us about another 150 km of unrestricted speed zone. This time it was completely calm, as in no winds, so it was a bit easier on the arms. We arranged for a unique modern house boat for our accommodations for the three nights we were there. Here it is:

Pretty cool. We just parked the car out on the street and there were no issues. It was very quiet and quite peaceful. The weather was cool but sunny while we were there and waking up on the Spree River was very nice.
While in Berlin we went to the Brandenburg Gate, Berlin Wall, Checkpoint Charlie, Jewish Holocaust Memorial, and the dome tour of the Reichstag. We also shopped and did a lot of walking touring around some hole in the wall stores in the gallery district near the University.
Noteable eats were Moog and Melzer (great warm sandwiches in the gallery district) and Neni (contemporary food in Hotel 25 Hours overlooking the zoo).
