I wouldn't like that either - you'd need to keep a towel around just for wiping that off daily.

I think it
could be ok, in the event the screen was closer to the driver (and if the fingerprints didn't drive you nuts) - my sister had one in her Jetta, and it was pretty nice. But it was a lot closer to her in the driver's seat compared to where it sits in the F8X.
