MMR is $48k in 4.0 condition with 21,500 miles in the southwest region. See attached. Your friend’s price is fair. Any DEALER would pay $45k too if they could since they all seem to pay over $46k for clean low mileage examples. Enough of that though...
Why are you so concerned with depreciation? Don’t buy it if you’re not going to keep it over 2 years. Way more F8x sold than E9x sold. Low mileage clean E9x are hard to find. F8x the same way are EASY to find. F8x will depreciate more period. Do I feel an F8x is worth the used money? Hell yes! I love mine and the one I had before. I might be in the minority, but I only like the E9x sound more... I like F8x more in EVERY other way. They’re great cars. Where as I don’t believe F8x will tank in value as time passes, I do believe E9x values will be stronger as a percentage of new price vs resale price but, not on an absolute dollar basis against F8x.
