I did high impact areas/full frontal with mirror caps and ultimately regretted it. Either do the whole thing or go none imo.
Don't get me wrong, the PPF/xpel works great but if you don't do the full car/every panel, you don't get the full experience and ultimately only avoid chipping on the front bumper which is mostly grilles/intakes to start. The leading edge of the carbon roof is still exposed, un-PPF'd panels can still swirl with a bad wash (trunk lid, doors, etc), and side skirts (F82)/rear fenders (F80) can still get chipped with a single run over spilled gravel on the highway so the pain of less than perfect paint will still irk you. It helps but I feel silly for paying 2k and still being annoyed with sideskirt rock chips and minor swirling. YMMV
