So my point is, BMW makes no explicit or implicit promises on a "premium" program or service, only that you MIGHT BE ABLE to order things not in the product schedule.

Oh so you a pay a shit ton for the options and have to do most of the leg work. That sounds awesome where I can I sign up to be treated like shit while paying through the nose.
Edit: I still disagree (shocking I know). A company like BMW should be getting this stuff right period and I don't mind even more now the way you describe it that people bitch about it it when it is wrong.
