The NT01 and RR share the same rubber compound. The RR's are faster when new compared to an NT01 due to the larger footprint (lack of tread). Assuming the same size, an NT01 at half tread depth remaining (when it only has 2 circumferential grooves) and an RR are very similar in performance.
Important to note is the difference in the the NT01 and R1. The NT01's like a lot of slip angle to reach peak grip levels, the R1 do not.
AR1's are fast and wear quite well. Seems like the new, modern NT01. I have experienced that they heat cycle out quicker then an NT01. I've often set fastest times on NT01's on the day I've corded them. The AR1's heat cycled out before they were done. AR1's sidewall is much stiffer so the turn in response is better and therefore you'd want to run them at lower pressures as well with them - ride is noticeably stiffer too.
