I agree, have been contemplating the same thing.

Have been looking at Audi SQ7, Porsche Cayenne, X5 M50D.

No matter how you look at it, a bigger SUV will never be a nimble sports car like an M3 or M2C.

If you want more space and want something bigger, get some decent engined SUV and use it what it's designed for (comfortable cruising) and get some fun car to get your kicks.

You will regret the move from M3 to SUV and will overpay for the kicks you'll get regarding to power and speed and handling unless in a straight line.
