Following-up on this. My M3 lease ended this week, and I picked up a CPO Macan Turbo as a replacement.
It's not quite as fast as the M3, and is an obvious downgrade in the handling department...but it's a pretty fun daily driver.
I've got a Cobb stage 1 and a few other things on the way to help narrow the power gap. Others are claiming sub 4s 0-60 with similar additions, so it will be interesting to see what happens.
